FSVP PLAN IMPLEMENTATION & AGENT SERVICES

The FDA’s Foreign Supplier Verification Program (“FSVP”) requires food importers to verify that the food they import into the United States meet U.S. safety standards. This is done through the creation of a product specific FSVP plan for each food product imported. In addition, FSVP requires food product owners or consignees to designate a U.S. Agent at the time of entry into the United States to respond to FDA inquiries and maintain the required supplier verification documentation.

Rancho Consulting provides a turn-key experience to food importers by preparing a complete FSVP plan that meets with all requirements for each product that they import into the United States and also serving as their FSVP Agent ensuring a stress-free process.

U.S. AGENT SERVICES

All foreign businesses who import or offer to import food into the United States are required to register with the FDA. All registered foreign food facilities must designate a U.S. Agent for FDA communications. The U.S Agent acts as an intermediary between the foreign food facility and the FDA to schedule inspections and to alert of other FDA matters. The U.S. Agent must be physically located in the United States and serves as the point of contact between the foreign business and the FDA.

Rancho Consulting provides assistance with U.S. Agent representation and food facility registrations to make sure your shipments are not denied entry into the United States.
